Two years ago, we saw Arbory Bar - Melbourne's longest stretching, outdoor bar and eatery - take to the water for summer on a floating barge that became Arbory Afloat. This year, it's back, bigger and better than ever - literally.
The 500 square meter pontoon will boast space for more than 400 CBD sailors chasing a drink and a bite on the water from 11am to 1am every. single. day. Enjoy restaurant dining at one end, stop for a drink at the central bar, then ease the food coma (or rest those seas legs) and chill out on one of the day beds at the other end.
Expect a taste of the Mediterranean with chef Nick Bennett's menu of seafood, vegetables and house-made gelato, washed down with wines curated by award-winning Somm, Raul Mareno Yague, all enjoyed beneath crisp, white, square umbrellas.
What will be one of the best places in town to spend a sunny day and warm evening on the Yarra, Arbory Afloat will be taking seafarers from November 15, 2017.
