Chatting with another city gal this afternoon, an expert in the field, she pointed me towards a relatively new spot in town offering salads, sandwiches and fine wine. But there's more to Chuckle Deli than a salad joint.
For starters, it's actually a deli. Secondly, it's an incredibly charming licensed deli with a nifty retro fit out. Thirdly, they cure their own salmon, smoke their own meats, and have some pretty ace cheese and wine on hand for inhaling onsite or to take home (if it makes it that far). Yum yum yum. Up to six salads are rotated daily, a regular serve of which you can enjoy with a glass of Bordeaux French red or white for $18.
Open Monday to Friday at this stage (til 6pm) with a possibility for weekends and maybe a few later finishes if it turns out we love them enough. Here's hoping we do - the cherry smoked chicken is fantastic and it'll make a perfect spot for a Sunday afternoon vino.
